We Are One Humanity’s July webinar explores Brazil’s expanding global role at the intersection of grassroots activism, multilateral diplomacy, and digital governance.

In early July 2025, Brazil hosted the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, which will be followed by COP30 in Belém later this year. These pivotal events place Brazil at the center of urgent global conversations about climate justice, digital sovereignty, and the future of international cooperation in a rapidly shifting world order.

Panelist: Laura Trajber Waisbich is Deputy Director of Programs at the Igarapé Institute. She is a political scientist and international relations expert by training, holding a PhD in geography from the University of Cambridge.

Panelist: Dr. Maíra Irigaray is the founder of INSamaúma, a platform that bridges science and spirituality in the Amazon, with over 16 years of experience in Indigenous rights, environmental advocacy, and cultural preservation.
